One person is reported to have been trapped under the ruins, and five have been evacuated.

Pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Shevchenko district police department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in Kyiv.
As reported, several floors have collapsed in one of the failing buildings on Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street in the center of Kyiv during repairs today. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that the construction work had been carried out in breach of safety regulations and without any permits.
